WHERE TO LOOK

"And as Jesus was going out of the temple, his disciples came to him to show him the structure of the temple. But Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all this? Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down... But he that endures to the end the same one will be saved." (Matthew 24:1, 2, 13)

Like the disciples on that occasion, how many people are fascinated by the "structure of the temples" in this world, people whose eyes are fixed only on the passing things that are on earth, the material achievements, the status, the fashion, the momentary pleasures, etc.; The Lord Jesus said that all this will come to an end, so our eyes should seek the things that are eternal, the things that are above. To do so, we must persevere to the end, so that at the end of it all we can contemplate the salvation of the soul (which is eternal).
